Artist Bio

From early childhood a love of drawing consumed most of his time and as a kid cartoons, comic books and fictitious worlds were key inspirations that sculpted his interests. Years later as a young teen living in the mid 80's a new phenomenon had polarised the community and at the age of 11 Sebastian had joined this anti-establishment cult movement. Skateboarding had been revitalised and was liberation for the youth of the day rebelling against civilised society and the higher authority.
Rather than mastering the trickery of the board he gravitated toward the radical art displayed on the plywood plank. This era breathed a new life into the kind of artist he was to become.
His visual vocabulary has enabled him to collaborate with clients that are leaders in their fields. Commercially he has developed his own authentic signature art style which has carved him a profession in producing graphics predominantly for the streetwear and action sports industries.

Professionally his skills set lay in areas ranging from commercial illustration, graphic design, public art installations to silk screen print applications. He admits the approach to his art methodology being similar to that of a surgeon wielding a scalpel to his patient, instinctively calculated on the rules of engagement. The subconscious is pilot to navigate through these sometimes mystic depths of creativity and imagination. To weave a dream and bring forth into reality he refers to the mind as a playing field of exploration bridging to a path of discovery, this metaphysical ideology will be the launch pad which will set the ship adrift on it’s voyage into the unknown.

Schooling
Sebastian has practiced vocational study through various institutions over the many years in the fields of Fine Arts, Print Production and Graphic Design. He began study as an apprentice at the Sydney Institute of Technology and later furthered his education on at the CGC College of East Sydney where he finalised his qualifications as a Graphic Designer. Occupation Artist, Illustrator and an all-round creative who has an insatiable appetite to create, seek higher learning and evolve. Outside his commercialised world of illustration Sebastian continues to explore new creative outlets, ride his bicycle and be a nurturing father and husband to his growing family.
